Meet Dwayne

Dwayne started Gut Gear Fitness in 2019 in order to share his passion for fitness with the world. As much as he loved getting in shape for himself, he wanted to make sure that he helped other’s reach their fitness goals in life as well. Dwayne has dedicated everything in order to help as many people transform not just physically, but also mentally.

Dwayne Gutridge Jr. born February 22, 1991 in Long Branch, New Jersey.  He currently lives in Toms River and holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration.  He lived in Eatontown for a short period of his life and eventually moved to Neptune N.J. where he grew up and attended school.  He attended Neptune High school from 2005-09 and within those years; he was the starting point guard on the Varsity basketball team. 

 

He worked extremely hard on his game and was honored with back to back defensive player of the year awards in 07-08 and 08-09, he also made 1st Team All Shore Conference, all Division and All Coaches Poll his senior year and received 4th team all-state honors as well.  In addition, he received 2 tournament MVP awards on their long-fought journey to the New Jersey Group III championship. After high school, he then attended Edison Prep for one year. There, he took his game to the next level, receiving a full scholarship to a Division I college.
